Applications for the September 2026 cohort of Musicians of Change (PGCEi) are now officially open – and we’re inviting passionate music educators take the next step in transforming music education through teaching.
Delivered in partnership with Birmingham City University, our year‑long postgraduate programme empowers musicians to develop exceptional, inclusive group‑teaching practice. Participants gain the tools, confidence and community they need to thrive as educators and it’s no surprise that 100% of graduates report increased confidence in inclusive group teaching, with 88% feeling less isolated, thanks to the programme’s powerful sense of community.
Since its launch in 2019, Musicians of Change has become a sector-leading development route for musicians working in primary, secondary and community settings. The programme is designed for instrumental and vocal educators committed to shaping inclusive, inspiring music learning environments—and the impact is clear. 70% of our graduates have gone on to take up lead or managerial roles across the music, education and charity sectors, crediting the programme for supporting their progression.
Thanks to the generosity of our funders, every place on the programme is subsidised, with additional targeted bursaries available. If you’re ready to join a likeminded community, develop your teaching practice and shape the future of music education, download the prospectus and apply today.
