Shiva Feshareki

“I am incredibly inspired by the creativity of children. Having worked in a variety of creative and educational settings with young people, and been massively influenced by the way they think, I am looking forward to applying my own ways of working with young people on the LMM Learning programme: I hope I can offer some interesting approaches!”
Shiva Feshareki is a composer and turntablist working closely with the physicality of sound. In 2016/17 she was a recipient of the LMM Award, the first time the award was given to a composer. As part of her award she was commissioned by London Music Masters and Aarhus Symphony Orchestra to compose a new work for orchestra and turntables in association with the London Contemporary Orchestra. ‘GABA-analogue’ – for deconstructed spatialised orchestra and electronic dance break was premiered at Printworks in August 2017. Shiva also led a unique turntables workshop for LMM Learning students introducing them to new worlds of sound and sound manipulation. You can stay up to date with Shiva’s work here
