Emilia Harrild is an actor-musician, singer and writer from South East London. She began playing the cello at the age of four and attended the Junior Academy during her formative years.

After earning a degree in English Literature from the University of Birmingham, she completed a postgraduate diploma in Acting at the Bridge Theatre Training Company in 2020, making her professional debut in 2021, as Perdita in The Winter’s Tale at The Minack Theatre.

Her other stage credits include: Rosalind in As You Like It (East London Shakespeare Festival), the Fairy Godmother in Sensory Cinders (Soho Place), Lucy Brown in The Threepenny Opera (national tour), Juliet in Romeo and Juliet (ELSF), Lady Macbeth in Macbeth (The Three Inch Fools, national tour), as well as repertory performances as Gwendolen in The Importance of Being Earnest and Hermia in A Midsummer Night’s Dream (OVO, The Roman Theatre).

In addition to performing, Emilia has taught cello for three years and is a new member of the team at Music Masters. She also works as a session musician and sensory practitioner, using music and sensory engagement to lead workshops for children and adults with profound and multiple learning disabilities (PMLD).
