Anna Mitchell is an Irish violinist & teacher based in London. She has worked with Music Masters since September 2024, and has also taught with Southwark Music Service and Raised by Music in South London. As a performer, Anna plays with ensembles such as the BBC Symphony Orchestra, City of Birmingham Symphony Orchestra, Irish Chamber Orchestra, RTÉ Concert Orchestra, National Symphony Orchestra of Ireland and Irish National Opera, and is currently an Associate Fellow of the Academy of St Martin in the Fields. Anna was a member of Sinfonia Smith Square in 2023/24, where she regularly led music workshops with children and families in the wider community, as well as planning and performing in family concerts. Anna is passionate about ensemble playing, as this is what she enjoyed most about learning the violin when she was younger. She says: “It is such a special thing to be able to play music with your friends.”
