Looking back at the BBC Proms

On Sunday 29th July, students from Ashmole and Jessop Primary schools took part in the world’s biggest classical music festival, the BBC Proms, at the Royal Albert Hall!
London Music Masters’ students, with the help of John Barber, composed their own variations of Elgar’s Enigma Variations for three inspirational figures; Barack Obama, Rebecca Adlington and Rosalind Franklin. Rehearsals with the BBC took place the week of the concert with the BBC Symphony Orchestra.

It was a fantastic occasion for all, as the students performed for the 1pm and 5pm performance. On both occasions, they received huge ovations for their performance!

The students also gave interviews for BBC Radio 3, which were aired during the interval of the second performance.
It was an inspiring day for the students of London Music Masters, as all the hard work paid off in the end – we are so proud of each and every one of them!
