Rosanne Jacobs was born in the Netherlands. As a child she performed in both the Netherlands and Germany, in orchestras and solo. She graduated in Music and Education at the Conservatory of Amsterdam in 2012.
During her study she gained interest in community art and was one of the first students to specialise in this field. She worked with the UN in Jordan to bring music to refugee camps, taught the violin in outreach programmes in Brazil and worked for several music education institutes in Amsterdam.
After graduating she played and taught for a year in and around Amsterdam, then moved to Brazil to do research in collaboration with the Conservatory of Amsterdam and Projeto Guri – a social educational music program in São Paulo. She moved to London in 2015 and started teaching violin and musicianship for Music Masters, plus mentoring on their Musicians of Change PGCEi course.

Rosanne enjoys playing with the Corinthian Chamber Orchestra and runs Arco, an Islington based music charity breaking down barriers to accessing music education.
