Louise was born in Hampshire and began playing the violin at the age of 9. She completed her BMus in performance on the violin at Trinity College of Music, graduating in 2010. Since graduating Louise has enjoyed freelancing and teaching in London. Some of her favourite music making moments have included performing with the all female FeMusa String Ensemble in Azerbaijan and Paris, playing as part of a string quartet with Japanese DJ Masaaki Yoshida and performing with Annie Lennox on Strictly Come Dancing and BBC Radio 2’s Jo Whiley Show. Louise began teaching violin with Music Masters in 2013 and has also been involved with lecturing and mentoring on the Musicians of Change course. Louise moved to Bristol in the summer of 2022 and has started a new role as Mentor and Regional Training Manager with Music Masters. As part of starting this role she has undertaken a course with Guildhall School of Music and Drama in Core Skills in Coaching for Mentors, Advisors and Teachers. Louise is deeply passionate about music educators feeling supported and connected in the workplace and empowered to discover their own abilities and gifts as teachers.
