Sir Vernon Ellis is former Chair of the British Council. Until 2008 he worked for Accenture as International Chairman.  He has long had a passion for the arts, particularly music, and is a committed philanthropist; hosting regular musical events to support musicians. He was Chairman of English National Opera (2006-2010), Chairman of Martin Randall Travel and a classical music downloads venture in the US. Sir Vernon was awarded a Knighthood in the New Year Honours, 2011 for services to music.
He is a former trustee of London Music Masters and currently serves on the Advisory Council.
